Preventing Widow and Orphan Lines
You can prevent the first line of a paragraph from appearing alone at the bottom of a
page (called a widow line) or the last line of a paragraph from appearing alone at the
top of a page (called an orphan line).
To prevent widow and orphan lines in a paragraph:

Click the paragraph in which you want to prevent a widow or orphan.

Click Inspector in the toolbar, click the Text button, and then click More.

Select “Prevent widow & orphan lines.”
